Pottery Barn Bingo Board Replica.............revisited

Back in December I saw this great Bingo board in the Pottery Barn Catalog and wanted it! So, I went to work creating my own.

Pottery Barn Version $149

Mine $7.00

I didn't take pictures during the process..darn...but here is how I did it.
I purchased a 24x24x2 board from Home Depot.
I then used 1 1/2" painters tape as a guide for the for the top, sides and bottom as a guide.
The top is 5 inches and the sides are 1 1/2 inches. I then penciled in my grid. The grid squares are 4 x 3 1/2 inches.

I painted the Antique white portions first then once dried I painted the black border. Once it was all dry I simply printed out a font..sorry I don't remember what it was and used freezer paper as a stencil for the "BINGO".

The numbers were the trickest part for me, I don't own a cricut so I had to figure a way to do the numbers, I first attempted to stencil them on but it was a bit difficult to do and I wasn't patient enough to do it that way. I ended up printed out the numbers on my computer and individually cut them out and mod podged them onto the board. I then applied a stain to the whole board to give it a worn look...viola!

I LOVE IT! I might have to do one for our semi-game room. We have our pool table in the formal dining room since I don't have a formal dining set and I have the nook off the kitchen. I want to get some taller tables and stools to put int he corner. The other side of the room is the formal living room where I have two oversized chairs. I want it to be like a big den/game room feel where people can play pools, boards games, read, chat, etc. My deocr culd use some help though. This BINGO board would be so awesome!
