My very sweet husband bought me this wonderful camera for my birthday back in July.

I have been reading the manual, checking out books, looking for tutorials and finally came across CRAZY DOMESTICS guest photographer Jenny from
I'd really like to hug this girl! I've learned so much from her 5 week series and can't believe I am now shooting in manual mode! Now, I am still learning and fiddling but her posts have made sense to me and that's what really matters! SO...if you were wondering how in the world you were ever going to learn how to use that fancy camera...check her out here.
Now I need to learn how to use Photoshop and talk my sweet hubby into buying this. Anyone know of some good Photoshop tutorials or books or other sites that have been helpful to learn about photography?

linda.com is a good place. I know it charges a bit. Sometimes colleges will have tutorials on how to do certain things in photoshop. Or googling what you want helps too. I did that and was able to make my bridal pictures look amazing. :) I also think that buying photoshop will give you a how-to guide. But I could be wrong!
Hope this helps! :)
You might also want to check out 2 peas 12 week course, it is great. My hubs bought me a new camera back in July and I have been trying to learn all I can about it.
