Master Bedroom Closet Organization......Day 19

I am pretty sure this closet is any girl's dream come true..
I know I am dreaming about it!
Check it out over at Honey We're Home.

Now that I've got you drooling...let's go check out my closet. It's far from that beauty up there..but it is organized and works for us.

Welcome to our Master Bedroom Closet!

My side of the closet:
Small baskets on shelf hold scarfs, belts, and hats

Clothes hung neatly by color.

can you tell I like stripes!

My heels are stored in a great IKEA closet storage shelf. It rolls out...I LOVE IT!
Our drawers hold tshirts, pjs and shorts.

My flats..
stored on an inexpensive small bookshelf from Big Lots

His side:

suits

Clothes hung by color His shoes

Extra Storage on shelving above:extra bedding from our bedlaundry sorters are stored under hanging clothes

suitcases

AND YIKES!
my regular clothes...all scrunched..driving me crazy...but there's no other place to put them for now...so we will wait 5 months until baby arrives and I can finally fit into them again!

A good rule when going through your closet is if you haven't worn it in a year it is best to donate it or sell. Don't hold on to things that you think you might wear someday....it never happens!

I have the exact same rule!! It's funny I said to my sister this weekend and she went nuts cleaning out 3 closets with that rule in place. Your closets look great. I love that pull out shoe thing!

Love the first closet of course...but yours turned out great! I love your rule about getting rid of old clothes. I need to adopt that for sure.

Just saw those shoe organizers at Ikea over the weekend and I wanted one sooo bad! Just don't have the room for it.

Looks great. I wish Ikea was closer to me than 2.5 hours away. Love the pretty baskets.
