Toy Organization...Day 9

In my dream world our playroom would look something right out of the Pottery Barn magazine.
Here is ours currently.
I have ideas up my sleeve but it's last on the list of things to do.
It definitely needs some color to make it come to life.

You can find the playroom printable here.

It's one open room (loft) upstairs..you have to walk through it to get to the bedrooms.
I have several ages and stages going on in my home so different things are stored in this room.

Small bookshelves from Costplus house some of the girl's toys.

Dora house and accesssories
Polly Pockets
My Little Ponies
Food for play kitchen
Board books

-Each toy has it's own basket.
I'd love to replace the baskets on the shelves so they all match. Someday!
Games and preschool type toys are stored in this cabinet in the hallway.
Older games are stored on top while the preschool games are stored on the bottom.

In the girls room I bought two cheap white bookshelves from Big Lots and put them side by side.
Small baskets hold:
Littlest pet shop
Little dolls
Larger baskets hold:
Barbies
Miscellaneous stuff like journals and treasures

In their closet I have another book shelf.
Larger books and Fisher Price Sweet Street houses and accessories are stored in here.

On the opposite side of the closet is a large basket full of those terrible (yes I said terrible) stuffed animals and dolls! If I had my way they would all be gone!

In my son's room

I purchased years ago one of these great IKEA under the bed storage baskets. They are huge and hold a ton.

I am not a stuffed animal fan at all. My daughter has one basket and the rest I have dumped. They just carry dust!!

Okay, I have felt good about my cleaning and organizing my house, but then I look at yours and I think I'm not really that organized and certainly not that cute! Can I just move into your house and will you leave all the bins, boxes, decor, and other organizational stuff there for me? Haha. I just have to remind myself that compared to how my house did look, I'm making a lot of progress.

Yours looks awesome. :)

Found your blog through House of Smith's. Love your laundry room and playroom!

I would love to get the printable for the playroom....you say you can find it here, but there's no linky....or maybe I'm just not finding it? Thanks!!

I love the Bingo and dice on the wall. If you made them, you should do a tutorial (I am new around here so maybe you did!)
