A Bit of This and That..(or total randomness)

We put my son's loft bed on Craiglist earlier this week to make room for both the boys in the room. My older son was outgrowing this one and is so excited for someone to come pick it up tomorrow morning!

I am a totally bummed that the configuration that I had envisioned just isn't going to work.

I am going to have to put the beds in a L-shape along the two walls you see in the picture with his loft bed without the shelf cubby in the middle. With so much furniture in one room it's going to be cozy!

Beds will be sort of like this...isn't this a cute room..if only they were little again!


I've order fabric for drapes/ valances (haven't decided yet) and pillows for their room and getting super anxious to put it together.

Found these quilts at Target.

The posters have already arrived and I inexpensively and simply framed them. The posters measure 11x17 which is an odd size. I went to Aaron Brothers to have a matte cut but it ended up being a lot more then I wanted to spend. So instead...I bought a 18x24 frame with my 50% coupon and then purchased a large black matte board. Cut it down to the frame size and simply used double sided tape to attach the poster. It looks like it is in a matte doesn't it?

Can't wait to hang it!

I started to touch up paint in the boys room only find out that the color that I ordered which is suppose to be the same isn't. So I have to repaint the entire room..UGH!

I am waiting for the crib bedding I ordered to arrive...it looks like this.

Also found some coordinating material to make a crib skirt and a pillow like this

and this for the baby's room.
