I have a confession.
I like to think that my home is organized. I like to think that my home is well maintained.
While I might think I have everything together I don't....

My garage suffers.

I loathe it!
It is the dropping ground to all the stuff that I don't have a home for. It's full of stuff that needs to be put away in the proper space and hasn't made it there yet. (like my Easter stuff) It's the never ending Goodwill pile. The trip to the dump pile. It's a disaster space most of the time...with the exception when once a month we clear it out but it always returns to a state of disaster. I cringe when neighbors might get a looksie and I am envious of anyone with a properly functioning garage.
I had a good laugh the other day when I got an email from a editor from Dream Garage and Workshops last week wanting to feature my garage from viewing this picture I posted for my 72 hour kits. While this space in my garage is orderly and does look like this its getting to it that is a problem. I may trip on shoes trying to get to our kits...its sad. I am too busy trying to keep up the rest of the house that this gets neglected.

That's why its on my new year resolutions list.

And this is only a third of it. I park in one part....I guess if I can still park in it its not SO bad right?
When it's finally tackled it's going to be done right. But for now I just shut the door and forget about it. Ugh!

That's not even bad, you should see my laundry room. It's my dumping room and it is awful. I keep thinking all take a day to organize it, but when do I have a day to do it? Never. At least you have 72 hour kits!
well congrats on the feature!! ha! I have a couple of those areas that I am not proud of in my house. the garage is one of them.
I like that your garage has a little bit of chaos, it makes me feel better :) Mine garage is terrible...I don't think I have parked in a garage in years(!)and this year I didn't let my laundryroom become my dumping ground...I made sure it all landed in the garage. If you get organized in there definately send some tips my way...I have tried to organize mine sevral times... think its just that we don't spend enough time in there and its easy to close and walk away. love ya!
I just found you and am so glad I did... consider me a follower!!!!! I just cleaned up my garage so that we can finally park in it, what a concept right!!??!! :) I am so excited to incorporate some of your ideas to make my life a bit easier... thanks for your hard work!
